Accidental injury insurance FAQ

What is accidental injury insurance?

Accidental injury insurance cover injuries due to an out of control event. The amount you receive can help you to cover medical and out-of-pocket costs incurred after the injury.

For example, hospital stay, emergency treatment, and transportation to treatment centres. Accidental insurance policies are purchased the same way as traditional insurance plans.

You will have to pay a premium depending on the plan and coverage. If you pass due to accidental death, your beneficiary will receive a lump sum payment. Accidental insurance is usually purchased to supplement medical insurance plans.

What is considered an accidental injury?

As the term suggests, accidental injuries refer to injuries that are a result of mishaps.

Is accidental insurance worth getting?

It depends on your personal situation, although accidental insurance is typically a useful rider to add to your traditional insurance. However, it should not replace health, medical or disability insurance.

Is a fall considered an accidental death?

Yes, falls are one of the typical causes of accidental death. However, like how all other insurance claims will be investigated, the insurance company will do their due diligence before the payout.

What are examples of accidental death?
