Prudential in Malaysia Provides Additional Novel Coronavirus Protection For All Policyholders and Certificate Holders

KUALA LUMPUR, 10 February 2020 – Prudential in Malaysia is extending its Special Novel Coronavirus Coverage to all of its policyholders and certificate holders. Upon diagnosis of the 2019-nCoV Coronavirus infection, all policyholders and certificate holders are eligible for a RM5,000 lump sum if they are diagnosed with Novel Coronavirus (2019-nCoV) before or on 29 February 2020.

The Special Novel Coronavirus Coverage comes at no additional cost and is applicable for all in-forced policies and certificates of Prudential Assurance Malaysia Berhad (PAMB) and Prudential BSN Takaful Berhad (PruBSN) respectively (except Group Policies/Certificates). Customers are entitled to receive a lump sum pay-out of up to RM5,000 when they present their medical report completed by a treating doctor from the hospitals identified by The Ministry of Health Malaysia to treat Coronavirus cases

This RM5,000 lump sum payment is in addition to the coverage provided for hospital admissions related to 2019-nCoV for Prudential’s medical plan policyholders/certificate holders.
