Prudential appoints Kelvin Ang to lead life business in Malaysia

KUALA LUMPUR, 8 September 2025 – Prudential Assurance Malaysia Berhad (PAMB) has appointed Kelvin Ang as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of its life business in Malaysia.

Kelvin who is Malaysian, brings over 26 years of experience, having held senior leadership roles across Indonesia, Vietnam, China, Hong Kong, and Malaysia. His extensive expertise spans agency development, business and technology transformation, mergers and acquisitions, and driving organisational agility across diverse Asian markets.

Most recently, Kevin served as President and CEO of AIA Philippines, where he led both business and cultural transformation. He also held other pivotal roles in agency integration in Malaysia and oversaw market expansion in Hong Kong, China and Vietnam with a strong focus on digitisation.

In his new role, Kelvin reports to John Cai, Regional CEO for Malaysia, Indonesia and Vietnam, with responsibility for Agency.

Kelvin will spearhead PAMB’s strategic realignment and growth initiatives, working closely with the senior management team to accelerate the company’s transformation journey. His appointment marks a step in strengthening PAMB’s commitment to delivering innovative and customer-centric solutions to Malaysians.
