Activities of Daily Living (ADL) are essential basic self-care tasks like eating, bathing, dressing, and moving around. Understanding how well someone can do these tasks helps us figure out how much support they might need. If someone has trouble with ADL, they might need extra help to stay healthy and independent.

For many insurance providers, a lump sum death benefit is paid out when the policyholder passes away. This lump sum payout is to help the family maintain financial stability in the absence of the policyholder. With PRULive Well, there is an additional advantage - the plan provides a monthly income benefit of up to 20 years if the policyholder is unable to perform Activities of Daily Living, ensuring that there are options for assisted living.
It can be more expensive than traditional life insurance policies due to the ongoing payouts. However, the cost varies depending on the amount of coverage, and the length of the monthly payout period.
This depends on the policy itself. PRULive Well offers monthly income benefit of up to 20 years. You can contact us for more information.
This will depend on the amount your family needs. For instance, whether there is a mortgage to pay off, education loans etc. Nonetheless, life insurance with monthly income benefits is a valuable support. Thus, it is important to assess your family’s financial situation and needs.

Inability to perform ADL refers to when a person requires assistance or supervision in completing basic self-care tasks such as eating, bathing, dressing or move around. This can include help from a caregiver or specialized equipment.
If you can no longer perform ADL independently, you may need to seek assistance from family, caregivers, or healthcare providers. You may qualify for long-term care insurance or other financial assistance.
Daily living assistance refers to support or services provided to individuals who need help with basic activities, such as eating, bathing, dressing, and mobility, due to age, illness, or disability.
Daily living assistance can include help with personal hygiene, meal preparation, transportation, medication management, dressing, and assistance with mobility. Daily living assistance can be provided through in-home care, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or through family and friends. Some people also hire professional caregivers to provide daily support.
Some forms of daily living assistance may be covered by long-term care insurance or health insurance, depending on the type of care needed. PRULive Well offers a monthly income benefit of up to 20 years upon disability. This means you will have options for assisted living if you’re unable to perform 2 or more ADL.
The cost of daily living assistance varies depending on location, the level of care needed, and whether the assistance is provided at home or in a facility. It can range from RM4,000 to RM6,000 a month, depending on the location, facilities and services offered.
