Double Honours For Prudential

KUALA LUMPUR, 16 JUNE 2016 – Prudential Assurance Malaysia Berhad (PAMB) was recently recognised with two awards: Malaysia Best Employer Brand 2016 and Reader’s Digest Trusted Brand.

“We are honoured to receive these two awards that recognise Prudential’s efforts to be the number one insurer not just in the hearts and minds of our customers, but also our people. One of our core values is to innovate and create opportunities - we are always pursuing new initiatives and challenging ourselves, through constantly innovating our HR policies and benefits to suit the changing needs of the work force” said PAMB’s Chief Executive Officer, Gan Leong Hin.

Carefully researched by the Employer Branding Institute, the Malaysia Best Employer Brand Award recognises companies who have actively maintained a reputation of being a ‘great place to work’ through the creation of a knowledge-sharing and innovative culture, and investing in consistent improvements in its Human Resources (HR) policies.

On the consumer front, the Reader’s Digest Trusted Brand Awards is an annual survey conducted by leading global market research company Ipsos, that reflects perceptions of approximately 5,000 individuals (across Singapore, Hong Kong, Malaysia, the Philippines and Taiwan) on their most trusted brands, rated against attributes of trustworthiness, credibility, quality, value, understanding of consumer needs, innovation and social responsibility.

Gan added, “It is the 9th consecutive year that we have been recognised by Reader’s Digest with the Trusted Brand 2016 Gold Award for the life insurance category which shows that Prudential is still as relevant today as we were 92 years ago because we have always put people at the heart of everything that we do. This award is particularly meaningful as it is voted by consumers and thus represents their ultimate seal of approval and confidence.”
