What is the Special Coverage about? A lump sum payment of RM5,000 when diagnosed with Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) during the eligible period.

Who is eligible? All in-force individual policies/certificate Life Assured/Covered Person from 1 February to 30 April 2020 including members of Group policies/certificates (e.g. MRTA/MRTT policies/certificates) from 21 February to 30 April 2020 underwritten by Prudential Assurance Malaysia Berhad or Prudential BSN Takaful Berhad. Please note that any Group Employer-Employee Benefit policies/certificates are excluded from this coverage.

How much does this special coverage cost? There is no additional cost for this special coverage.

How do I sign up for this special coverage? There’s no registration required.

How do I submit a claim? You may submit a duly completed claim form together with all relevant investigation reports and medical reports completed by a treating doctor via PRUServe Plus or walk-in to any of our branches.

Does PRUWealth/ PRUWealth Plus/ PRUWealth Max/ PruBSN WarisanPlus Infectious Disease Benefit include the coverage of Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19)? No, they do not. However, we will continue to monitor this new disease and consider including it in the list of these policies/certificates at a later stage.

Can customers seek treatment for Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) at any hospitals? The health ministry has designated hospitals nationwide that will serve as referral hospitals in handling patients with nCoV. This list of hospitals is accurate at time of publication.

Is there any exclusion or waiting period imposed? No exclusion or waiting period will be imposed for this Special Coverage.

If I have an existing medical condition, am I still entitled to the Special Coverage? Yes, you’ll be entitled to the Special Coverage even though you have an existing medical condition.

What if I have more than 1 policy/certificate, am I still entitled to claim for both? No, you are only entitled to claim once.

How long will the payout for the Special Coverage take? Upon receiving the complete documents, you’ll receive the payment within 14 working days. *We will be offering Fast Track processing for submission via PRUServe Plus.
